www.Fil.Am

Filipino-American Social Networking

Hello. I'd like to welcome you to this site. My name is Carlos Tabora and I am the creator of Fil.Am. I am a songwriter and marketer and live in Orange County, CA. I love music and like to karaoke. These days you'll more likely find me at a karaoke bar than a dance club, but I remember back in the day when I used to hit the clubs all the time. I hope you enjoy and join this site. I'd like Fil.Am to become a great place for Pinoys to hang out, network and build great relationships. If you have a Twitter account, please follow me at www.TweetCarlos.com. God bless and take care!

What's up fam? My name is David, aka "Cyphaflip/Cyph". I'm the one man army behind The Bathala Project (www.TheBathalaProject.com) which focuses on artwork based on the ancient Filipino (or "pre-filipino" w/e) script of Baybayin (aka Alibata).

I really got into the fil-am community in college when I joined the Purdue Filipino Association and quickly became engrossed with the collegiate midwest (and eventually national) fil-am organization community. Los Angeles raised, but moved around the world. I love Hip Hop, jazz and blues, and a little bit of all music genres.

Yezzir.

Hi everyone! I'm Marisa Santiago, I was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan. My mother is from Quezon City and my father is from Tarlac. I'm currently a student at Indiana University and the President of the Filipino Student Association for the 09-10 school year! I started getting more and more involved with the Filipino community since coming to college and now a large part of my life revolves around it. It's my pride and joy to announce that Indiana University will be hosting the Midwest Association of Filipino Americans Conference in the spring of 2010. Please follow IU_FSA on twitter for updates on Indiana University's Filipino Student Association and mcsantia to follow me! Take care!

Hey, my name is DeAnna, better known as Dee or DeeDee... I'm originally from Los Angeles, Cali and I'm part Filipina, Chinese & Native American. My gr.grandpa immigrated from Manila to the US after he joined the US Navy to gain US citizenship. I've always wanted to learn more about my filipino side of the fam, but unfortunately, after the war & hard times, he lost all contact with his fam. I'm learning more and more about my culture/s everyday & am a proud filipina :) By the way, the site rocks! :)

Mabuhay! Ako si Ken. I'm puti, but my asawa is pinay and born in Metro Manila. Marivic ("Vicky") and I met here in the States, we live and work in Washington, DC. My site is http://www.latheofdreams.com and our pics are at http://www.flickr.com/photos/vickyken/sets/

I love watching Filipino horror movies (Sigaw, Feng Shui, Kalam, Mananagal), some teleseryes (Diyosa, My Girl), and game shows (Wowowee, PKNB). I am still learning Tagalog, while Vicky is fluent and teaching me. I truly love Filipino culture, food, and friendships. I'm thankful to see a Fil-Am site for pinoys here in the States.
